A-C Central coming together

Have you ever wondered how A-C Central School District got started? Well A-C wasn't always a school district, but two different ones. They were Ashland and Chandlerville  High Schools. The consolidation didn't pass on the first vote. If the Consolidation didn't passed then Ashland would have to cut back programs and teacher while Chandlerville might have to close and the students would have to go somewhere else. finally on April 9, 1989  the consolidation was voted on again. this time it passed. After the consolidation passed the next step was to decided on the new school's name, colors, and mascots. The choices for the School name was A-C Central or Cass Central. While colors were Black/Gold or Black/Silver. The Mascots  were Wolverines or Knights. The Choice they made was A-C Central, Knights, and Black/Gold.

Originally  Ashland High school were the panther with the purple and white. While Chandlerville were the comets with Maroon and White. There are still some teacher here from the first A-C Central School year. those teachers are Mrs. Leinberger, Web, Hatch, and Mr. Pfaffe. A-C Central is still going strong from back in 1989 to 2014.
