hunting

Hunting at A-C Central!

It's fall again and hunting season is here! I asked some of the hunters around A-C what they like to hunt most and why they like to do it. Here is what they said.

Sawyer S.: My favorite hunting season would be any type of deer hunting. This is because they are larger animal and they are cool to watch. You have to let them get kind of close to shoot them so you know what they look like. It gives you a good adrenalin rush.

Dustin N. My favorite animal to hunt is deer. This is because its just exciting to me.

Kylee F: My favorite thing about hunting would have to be deer season or duck season. Deer season because you wait a long time and it's all worth it when ones comes up. Duck because nothing is better than having a bunch fly into your decoys you get a good adrenaline rush.

Bow season for deer starts on October 1st, and ends on January 18th, but you can't hunt during the shot gun or muzzleloader season. Those are November 21st- 23rd, December 4th-7th, and muzzaloader only season is December 12th-14th. Duck season started October 25th and ends January 31st.

These ten students were Jackson A., Sidney D., Kylee F., Quinlan M., Brittany S., Carlee C., Dalton J., Kolby V., Eric S.,and Austin C.
Gone ziplining!

On their first day there the group of FFA students went rappelling and zip-lining in Horse Cave, Kentucky.

On their second day, they all went to the Opening Expo in Louisville, and spent the day exploring the convention and career fair.

On Friday, their final day, the group went to the convention workshops of their choice and enjoyed a little karaoke. They ended this day with a rodeo which was a fitting end to a three day period of action, enjoyment, learning, and farming.
